Sandra's further training as a pianist has taken her to study with Damjana Bratuz at the University of Western Ontario, the Orff-Instiut Abteilung of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen where she studied with Friedrich Gürtler, and to Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ where she received the Master’s of Music in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying, studying with J.J.Penna and Dalton Baldwin.
Sandra recorded her first solo album in December 2006 for a 2007 release in conjunction with the centenary of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg’s death. SANDRA MOGENSEN: Piano Music of Edvard Grieg, produced by Earl McCluskie was warmly received and praised. A second disc of Grieg’s piano music (SANDRA MOGENSEN: Piano Music of Edvard Grieg Volume 2) followed in 2009, again produced by Earl McCluskie. With the most recent 2012 release of SANDRA MOGENSEN: Piano Music of Edvard Grieg Volume 3, Sandra has completed a trilogy of uniquely programmed discs honouring the great Norwegian composer.
Sandra’s fascination with Grieg began early in life and has its roots in Sandra’s northern European heritage. With a Danish father and Latvian mother, her affinity for the Scandinavian and Baltic cultures was kindled at a young age. Sandra’s love for Grieg’s music has taken her to Grieg conferences in Florida and Copenhagen. A memorable performance experience took place in 2010 when Sandra performed at the “Troldsalen” recital hall at Troldhaugen, Grieg’s villa in Bergen, Norway.
Sandra Mogensen holds the position of Faculty Pianist at the annual National Music Camp of Canada at Lake Couchiching and is a founding member of the National Piano Trio, ensemble-in-residence at NMC. A versatile musician, Sandra has extensive experience with chamber music, musical theatre and choral repertoire, as well as music in liturgy. Well-versed in several languages, Ms. Mogensen is well known for her language and diction coaching. Ms. Mogensen has had an extensive teaching career and enjoys mentoring musicians in their processes of self-discovery and artistic development.
From 2001-2012, Sandra was based in beautiful and culturally rich Stratford, Ontario, Canada. After a self-funded 'sabbatical' year in Copenhagen, Denmark, Sandra is now based in Toronto, Canada.

Alison Rogers began her music studies at the age of 7. Her talent was instantly recognized and she was featured regularly as a young pianist in recital and on television. This was not enough for her and soon she pursued advanced studies as an organist. She was awarded an RCCO scholarship and studied organ with Dr. Mark Sirett starting in 1990.
Alison received a BA in History with a minor in Music from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2004, (principal instrumental work with Guy Few, trumpet). An interest in theory lead to private, post degree studies with Dr. Peter Nikiforuk in pursuit of ARCT theoretical certification. She presently holds a grade 8 RCM piano certificate, grade 5 Harmony and grade 5 Analysis.
Alison is very active in the musical community. She has played principal trumpet for Royal City Musical Productions and the University of Guelph Orchestra, worked as a musical director and pianist for summer camp programs, taught privately and sung first soprano with the Menno Singers. In 2011 she coordinated Christmas music for the City of Kitchener, facilitating the Christmas carolers for the downtown core and singing soprano herself.
Alison has 20 years experience as a piano and music theory teacher. She has taught music theory and piano at the Harmonia Centre and KW School of Music in Kitchener Waterloo.
Alison is known for her ability to work with special needs children and those with physical or specific challenges.
Currently Alison is teaching private piano and music theory in Uptown Waterloo, but will be relocating to the Gerard Street East Community of Toronto beginning September 2015. She is currently accepting students in either discipline in her new location.
Alison is also available to teach private music theory lessons via Skype, upon request.
